Projects

A curation of some of our most ambitious projects that reflect our mission of expanding the image of the Latina woman in the U.S.

Date: July 17-Aug 9, 2021

Goal: We fundraised over $5k in scholarships for Latinas ages 18 and over who desire to pursue opportunities (such as attend a research conference, study abroad, attend university, obtain a real estate license, etc.) that are costly.

Method: Mariana and I for 24 days overcame 24 fears- 12 fears each in 24 hours. An immersive experience through both Instagram and TikTok that took our audience through an emotional journey that demonstrated firsthand what it's like to overcome a range of fears and the valuable lessons that can be obtained afterward!

Summary: The wealth gap can be attributed to a lack of resources and monetary mobility that can assist us in obtaining more. The Mujeristas Collective were the recipients of the EHz scholarship and redistributed the $5k scholarship into the community of under-represented women artists through a zine that explored liberation movements. Artwork was showcased in a gallery in New York.

EHz x SUMA Wealth

Date: Ongoing

Goal: By collaborating with Suma Wealth we aim to increase financial literacy within the Latinx community. We want to normalize financial literacy among Latina females and invite them to take control of their finances.

Method: Our joint approach to create Reels on Instagram and TikTok is to provide substantial knowledge that Latinas will find fun and engaging but also very relatable.

Summary: Throughout the last months with Suma Wealth we have been able to reach over 50,000 views across all videos. We are proud to see fellow Latinas respond and feel represented on screen.

Date: June-July 2020

Goal: The EHz Scholarship was created to fundraise 1k for students who were affected by COVID-19.

Method: The virtual benefit concert went live on both May 23 and on June 25 through Instagram live. With over 8 artists and 5 donors, we were able to make it happen.

Summary: Two concerts later the $1,000 Educated Humanz Scholarship went live. Over 40 students applied and the selective process started. In the end with a panel of 3 adults and 3 high achieving teenagers; Miriam Torres, 1st year UCLA student became the recipient of our first Educated Humanz Scholarship.
