The EHz Scholarship

On November 10, 2020 we awarded our first scholarship to our recipient Miriam Torres, a UCLA student. 

 

We were able to make this happen was by creating two live Virtual Benefit Concerts hosted on Instagram. 

 

Both Concerts were made with a zero dollar starting budget with performances that captured the Mexican-American culture. A total of ten artists of which including Gavin Haley- an emerging singer song writer recently featured on People Magazine who collaborated with Travis Barker; Midnight Village- an upcoming alternative band; Connexion Norteño- a longstanding Regional Mexican band that sings classic Regional Mexican music and has been recognized within the community; and Zarquillo y Su Gente- another Regional Mexican band dedicated to continuing the legacy of the Regional Mexican music. 

 

During the first concert, the first half was obtained and during the second half, we were able to fundraise the second half. 

 

Total we received sponsorships from Tenzo Tea, MVMNT, Madeby, Dual Creation, and PG Cutting.
